Tarek Talaat
Tarek Talaat is a strategic and transformative CEO with over 25 years of global leadership experience across the cement, building materials, and industrial sectors. He has led listed and multinational companies with revenues exceeding USD 300M and capacities of over 6M tons per year, delivering turnarounds, capital restructuring, and sustainable growth.
Most recently, as Group CEO of Raysut Cement (Oman), Tarek restored profitability after years of losses, secured debt restructuring, and re-established investor confidence. Previously, as Group Managing Director and Board Member of Misr Cement (Egypt), he increased EBITDA by 42%, tripled net profit, and reduced long-term debt by 25% annually, while embedding a Group 2030 Sustainability Strategy. His career also includes senior roles with Lafarge/Titan, Arabian Cement, and Cementia Trading (Switzerland), where he managed large-scale EPC, trading, and expansion projects across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
A COP27 speaker on decarbonization, Tarek is a recognized advocate for ESG, circular economy, and industry transformation. He combines visionary leadership with execution discipline, trusted by boards, investors, governments, and global partners.
